Day one of van life 3.0, Sept 29th, 2025

Day one of Life 3.0, 

Janet and John depart sister Nubee's home in El Dorado hills. We are up at six, but pretend to get organized, but really want to say hello to all before we depart.  And I make a wonderfull double Nespresso to go.

After hugs to Nubee and Charlie, as we are off to San Francisco.  Janet starts a relive tracker and is princes navigator extrodinar, photographer and overall comic relief. The drive is delightful and we head north of the bay so we can cross the golden gate bridge.  Hmmm, any suggestions on how we pay our troll, I mean toll...

First fun stop, Emma's and Jack's new apartment in the city. Alas, no parking so tons of hugs to Emma, and virtual hugs to Jack who is at work.
Next stop, and only just over a mile away is Brada Tim and hubby Mike.  Again, parking is, well, city parking.  Janet jumps and is kind enough to get me another double Nespresso with oat milk, yummy.  

Mike and Tim lead the way in team Volvo, as we we head to our first set of trolls on this adventure.  Fololi gardens!  

Filoli, or "Fight for a just cause. Love your Fellow Man. Live a Good Life.", is a historic and beautiful gardens and historic area about 35 minutes south of San Francisco.  Mike is super creative and has us doing some fun short clips he assembled into a fun video

Faloli has six Thomas Damno Trolls in residence.  You need to watch carefully, and they have been known to get up and wander about.  Must be that California air.

And then onto a delightful lunch, the gardens and house.

And then we sadly part our ways, Tim and Mike head home to SFO, and Janet and I head to pinnacles national park for the night.

And ohhh-dear...

pretending to get organized, but it is late after a long couple fun filled days.  Crackers and soft bri for dinner (and some terrible pickle beer 🍻), we head off to moimoi land to dream of the day and those yet to come. Sweet dreams!

Ka'a Nui's travels....

  The Travels of Ka'a Nui! The journey starts with a single step.  Make that 35 years of working in great occupations for both of us.  We are now retired, or nearly so.  Our magic camper van ships out to San Diego, July 15, 2025.  We will hopefully pick it up on July 29th and start heading north thru the Pacific NorthWest. Leg one July 28th-Septmber 6, 2025 Pickup van in San Diego pier.  Head to Sister Nubee's in Cali.  Off to Bob's to get some of our supplies and drink his beer, then Stevens in Seattle.  Looking forward to a "Weird Al" Yankovic show, then a super fun Bluegrass camping festival.  After that, back to oregon, hike, walk, hike, and then head to Sacromento to fly home Sept 8th.
