Day eight of van life 3.0, October 6th, 2025
Today's relive by our own Janet
Harvest moon tonight!
A fun and final day at the balloon fiesta.
A beautiful morning
We look for balloons making Burns to warm up.
From this
To this
Inflation takes place.
It's a cold morning 🌅
Anyone bring the keys for this?
A face only an alien can love...
Zebra crew, or referees give thumbs up liftoff.
Our solo and small balloon person of the
Spiders... We've seen at least two giant hairy spiders crossing the road as we drive to tonight's camp spot in Kansas...
A selfie break...
Let the games begin. The pilots would come in to land and whomever gets the closest to the Mark wins. Here you see the thrower winding up for the big throw.
The ribbon in the air..
Super close, great throw
Winner winner, chicken dinner, this person nails it!
The morning is running away without us, so we start heading back to Ka'a Nui for our next leg of the fantastic trip of the retired ones.
From our van as we start to roll out.
And we are off to Santa fe...
Route 66
Old store, before my time...
We passed thru the town that Wild Hogs was filmed, Madrid.
We now head to Santa Fe to enjoy the lack of parking, a beautiful church and some coffee and internet.
Parking is found in the church parking lot. Lunch is served, tossed salad mixed in a ziplock.
Loreto Church.
The Loreto legend
It is a truly amazing wooden
marvel.
Walking around Santa fe.
