Well today was utterly cool!  Up early for our first day of balloon fiesta in NM.  I am now sitting drinking (hopefully), my last pickle beer and blogging in front of our van in our epic beach chairs.  A great day that is going by so quickly, but we are only halfway thru the day, with more fun in the pans. I guess up early and out the door by 530am works well for a long day.
To say we took a few photos is a misnomer at best.  Morning was chilly, security from our camp slight and an easy transit, even with my backpack, wait time of less then one minute.

We part ways at around 11, Janet and I tootle around and then head back to the van for a coffee/chai break, nap and some van work.

70 amp breaker from alternator, keeps tripping, should not draw more than 50amps, so should not be tripping.  I had thought it was the bumpy roads, but alas, I think a bad relay, so brought a spare from home to swap out.  It's a tight spot with the battery in the way, but I eventually get it swapped out, its way in the back under the two buss bars.


We work on organizing and redo some space stuff in the van.   A delightful lunch of avo, meat and more onoliscious avo, we finish lunch and head to the museum.

VR was super cool...
Museum was great, we stayed about an hour and a half, super cool.bwell worth it, informative and affordable for the experience.

Next stop back to van 
Nice time to re-chill, a couple drinks bri cheese and crackers are awesome.

And back we go for the promise of an amazing evening.  Hiede, Tish and Diane join us. There is no shortage of people, that's for sure.

Ka'a Nui's travels....

  The Travels of Ka'a Nui! The journey starts with a single step.  Make that 35 years of working in great occupations for both of us.  We are now retired, or nearly so.  Our magic camper van ships out to San Diego, July 15, 2025.  We will hopefully pick it up on July 29th and start heading north thru the Pacific NorthWest. Leg one July 28th-Septmber 6, 2025 Pickup van in San Diego pier.  Head to Sister Nubee's in Cali.  Off to Bob's to get some of our supplies and drink his beer, then Stevens in Seattle.  Looking forward to a "Weird Al" Yankovic show, then a super fun Bluegrass camping festival.  After that, back to oregon, hike, walk, hike, and then head to Sacromento to fly home Sept 8th.
