Our camp site last night was primo. A delicious mushroom rissoto and beef broccoli, paired with a nice Belgium beer!  On the lake, next to bathrooms and hot strong showers. Home of one of the worlds best Frisbee golf courses and white lightning lane (whiskey from progabition times).

We are off to New Orleans for the night. The campground we are looking at is empty for the night, and that is not very promising.  Gusty winds or crazy people ahead stay tuned.

Yes on gusty winds, very gusty but a great drive in our tall van.  People, well "NO" or neholins are, well different, alligators can be more friendly than these people.  Alas most everyone we have meet is super cool and wonderfully nice people.  From nice lady at Costco checking our tire pressure to the dude who worked there who had me drive over to his shop to check all five tires (checking spare).

Lunch at chef Ron's was good and over filling. We than drove along Jackson square fronting the French quarter.  Our plan is to get up early and head to Café Du Monde for pasties and hot beverages. We will do battle with parking then wander about. Stay tuned for more carbs and sugar followked by hickory coffees...

Post that, we head north across the lake Pontchartrain, take a left and head to Austin texas for a troll.  Was hoping to see the bats under the bridge, but may be to late in the season.

Now looking at Halloween in two days, and twelve more days before we drop the van and fly out of Phoenix in about twelce more days.  

Great news from Jessie and Brandon, they conduct their final walk thru on Saturday and get the keys early next week.  Way to go, so proud of these two, they really make a great team.

Ka'a Nui's travels....

  The Travels of Ka'a Nui! The journey starts with a single step.  Make that 35 years of working in great occupations for both of us.  We are now retired, or nearly so.  Our magic camper van ships out to San Diego, July 15, 2025.  We will hopefully pick it up on July 29th and start heading north thru the Pacific NorthWest. Leg one July 28th-Septmber 6, 2025 Pickup van in San Diego pier.  Head to Sister Nubee's in Cali.  Off to Bob's to get some of our supplies and drink his beer, then Stevens in Seattle.  Looking forward to a "Weird Al" Yankovic show, then a super fun Bluegrass camping festival.  After that, back to oregon, hike, walk, hike, and then head to Sacromento to fly home Sept 8th.
