Day twentytwo of van life 3.0, October 20th, 2025


What a day!  In Shenandoah park from the north side. Camping at Mathew arm campground and dinner was left overs of sausage, veggies and cheese with a tomato sauce. Yum!


Now sitting at campground our fire is about down to ambers and I'm ready for a shower.  Planning for the next few days I push for several nights here in this area.  We are about 21 days from returning to Hawaii. Not soon in my book.  It is really nice to get here by 430 or so and get organized go for a walk and make dinner ballad no Internet how grand is that. Icecream does well in freezers bonus round having a freezer for sure.


Park is amazing, and weather is fantastic.  Not a ton of pre pics as I was driving and we ended up at Walmart twice, second time our GPS gave up the ghost, crapped out or as they say took a shit and died. Second one is better, but has issues.  Not a recommended Garmin as a navigation system for sure.  Need to rethink the original navigation system we had in place, large easy to read and from either phone. Garmin has the license for ancient crap system.so nice at 830pm to sit chilling with heater going and both of us lost in our thoughts and writing.  Life is grand and better with two.

Ka'a Nui's travels....

  The Travels of Ka'a Nui! The journey starts with a single step.  Make that 35 years of working in great occupations for both of us.  We are now retired, or nearly so.  Our magic camper van ships out to San Diego, July 15, 2025.  We will hopefully pick it up on July 29th and start heading north thru the Pacific NorthWest. Leg one July 28th-Septmber 6, 2025 Pickup van in San Diego pier.  Head to Sister Nubee's in Cali.  Off to Bob's to get some of our supplies and drink his beer, then Stevens in Seattle.  Looking forward to a "Weird Al" Yankovic show, then a super fun Bluegrass camping festival.  After that, back to oregon, hike, walk, hike, and then head to Sacromento to fly home Sept 8th.
